HPC Revenue Forecasting, Identifying Target Markets for Over 5000 Drugs
Business Problem
A US-based pharmaceutical company approached Borderless Access with the goal of creating a 10,000+ drug list using HPC for tablet capsules, syrups, lotion, injections etc. It wanted to use the list to create a forecast model for 5000+ drugs, targeting the USA and Canada market.
What we did and how
We created a list of HPC drug manufacturers in the USA and Canada regions, breaking it into categories – H-HPC & L-HPC
We used H-HPC drugs for the forecast model, setting business rules, criteria, assumptions, caveats & developing the right methodology
We used design mock-ups and developed VBA forecast models for the tablets & capsule segments
Projected annual sales value & volume for 200+ pharmaceutical companies who would be purchasing the client’s products
Key insights
We used the drug list to understand the production volume of drug manufacturers using HPC, and create revenue scenarios and summarize the forecast results. Using our customized forecast model, the sales and operations teams were able to set realistic targets for the sales force.
