This BA SmartSight case study details helped the client, a non-profit organization employed an online childhood cancer community, in childhood cancer community-building transition and build a custom community to generate insights. The generated insights were utilized to diagnose patients and reduce the burden of affected families. The study targeted parents or legal guardians of cancer patients who are below 18 years across the US. The objectives of the study were to understand the experiences and emotions of affected families at different stages of diagnosis, identify critical resources and needs of each family, reducing manual interventions to generate more accurate insights at an individual/community level and automate all parts of the research process.
