Growing up in Bihar and Jharkhand, my father’s ever-changing job postings had thrown me in and out of my comfort zone pretty early on in life. In fact, the nomadic upbringing had instilled in me a sense of confidence to explore different aspects of life.
After graduating college, it was time for an MBA! a common practice in India. While I didn’t grasp every subject with complete clarity then, consumer behavior stood out to me. Little did I know that this interest of mine would shape my career in a remarkable way. My initial roles were in sales, first in construction materials and then in motor finance, but to me they seemed far from fulfilling. I was rescued by a fortunate turn of events that led me to the captivating field of Market Research.
My job took me to places across India and then eventually to Dubai, which has been home for the past 16 years. After working as Account Director in TNS for 9 years, I embarked on an adventure with Borderless Access, a transition that unfolded in a truly fascinating manner.
A chance meeting at the TNS office with an old friend, Dushyant, who is the Executive Vice President at Borderless Access. Little did I know that that coffee chat would unlock an exciting new chapter. Borderless Access entrusted me with the task of developing the MENA market from scratch. And what a ride it has been!
In this company, we breathe client-centricity and support one another like a fearless tribe. Borderless Access is not just a “Great Place to Work,” — it’s a place where we break free from the norm, celebrate individuality, and create a safe space to thrive. Thanks to the trust-based approach, I have made significant contributions in transforming Borderless Access from a digital consumer access expert to a powerful force in providing exceptional insights solutions throughout the brand life cycle.
When I’m not working, I am donning my chef’s hat. I also seek solace in gardening in my backyard. And of course, weather permitting, a weekend cricket match is an absolute delight, even if my line and length seem to have gotten a bit moldy.
To sum it up, my journey has been a rollercoaster ride— a tale of exploration, self-discovery, and the joy of contributing to something one would be proud of.
